A good friend of mine, Todd Van Every by name, was in a group called the Border Singers over 50 years ago. Pretty good group, Kingston Trio type, didn’t ever make much money, but had a lot of fun doing it. Here’s a recording of them made on July 9, 1961, in an Oklahoma City folk den called The Buddhi. Crappy quality initially; I’ve tried to clean it up a little, but it’s still pretty bad. Anyway, it’s what we’ve got. Listen and reminisce.
